Groundwater Remediation with Oxidant Candle(s)®
Oxidant Candle(s)® in Modular Oxidant Delivery Systems provide a continuous supply of powerful oxidants that circulate throughout the treatment zone.
Our systems have three primary components:
- Insertion points: Oxidant Candles placed into the treatment zone with an AirLift pump at the bottom.
- Air distribution lines: delivery system to get compressed air to the AirLift pump and a vent system to exhaust the compressed air back to atmosphere.
- A low pressure air compressor: creates compressed air (5-20 psi) to power the AirLift pump.
Depending on the formulation each candle can last from 6 months to 2 years. Candles at their end of life can be quickly and easily swapped out for fresh ones.

As part of an EPA SBIR Grant AirLift is developing a treatment strategy for the removal of PFAS contaminants from investigation derived wastes produced during contaminant plume delineation and monitoring activities. at the conclusion of this EPA project AirLift will be offering a PFAS IDW treatment kit, stay tuned!

A slow release Lanthanum system distributes phosphorus sequestering chemicals throughout the pond while aerating the pond with an AirLift pump.
